Dough Mixer ReviewsKitchenAid K45SS Classic 250-Watt 4-1/2-Quart Stand Mixer

So, here is it is… the classic dough mixer.  We all know the KitchenAid mixer that’s been around for eons and there must be a reason for that….and it’s because it WORKS!  This will literally change the way you cook.  It will help you with all your baking needs and mixes enough dough to make two loafs of bread at a time. There are many models of the KitchenAid dough mixers but this particular model fits me the best.  This is because it’s heavy duty enough for everyday use but is one of the cheaper models and fits my budget.  It mixes everything perfectly because it spins on its own axis so there is no need to use a hand mixer after wards.  So the reason these things have been around since your mom got married 30 years ago, is because they work well and last forever.  Even though the price might be a little more than what you were expecting to pay, it’s well worth it when you realize how long it will last you.

Dough Mixer ReviewsSunbeam 2371 Mixmaster Stand Mixer, White

This is a wonderful little mixer if you are not willing to pay $300.  It is not as heavy-duty as those $300 dough mixers by other brands, but this will definitely be a great help in the kitchen.  If you are trying to make huge batches of cookies or dough, this mixer may not be for you, but let me tell you, it also has its advantages.  This dough mixer comes with an assortment of beaters so that no matter what you are mixing, you will be covered.  It has a huge glass bowl that is very roomy and the 350-watt motor is big enough to mix that sticky dough.  One huge selling point for me is that it is easy to clean.  With my hand mixer I was always having a hard time cleaning the beaters.  The beaters had so many crevices that dry dough would get stuck in there, this is not the case with this mixer.  Another great thing about this Sunbeam mixer is that it is lighter than those $300 mixers which makes it much easier to move about the kitchen or put it away after you use it.  Overall this stand dough mixer is well worth the money if your are looking for an easier way to get your baking done.

Dough Mixer ReviewsHamilton Beach Eclectrics 63227 All-Metal Stand Mixer, Licorice

I tried this dough mixer because I had heard of the brand Hamilton Beach and knew it was a good brand.  I also thought the price of this mixer was a little better than some of the other stand mixers out on the market.  Another thing that attracted me to this mixer was the look of it.  I knew this was going to be an appliance that would be sitting on my counter all the time, so it needs to look nice too.  So far, I have no complaints.  This mixer works exactly as I expected.  It has a great size motor so it works well on big jobs.  You will have no trouble doubling the cookie recipes!  The one fault I could mention is that sometimes it has trouble mixing everything in the bowl.  Therefore it may be necessary to stop and mix the dough a little bit with a spoon before turning the mixer back on.  After you are done mixing you can tilt the mixer up so that the beaters are still over the bowl and not dripping all over your counter.  Right when I got it out of the box I could tell this mixer will last me a long time because of it’s quality construction.  It truly is made completely out of metal which really makes it heavy-duty.  I would highly recommend this dough mixer as an alternative to some of the other more expensive models out there.  It is a high-quality product that really does the job well.

So, I am a college student and I live with a bunch of roommates.  We do a lot of cooking and I felt like I was always hand mixing batches of cookies or other fun treats for the girls.  I decided it would be a good idea to get a stand mixer to relieve my hand a little bit.  Of course another thing about being a college student is that I don’t have a lot of “dough” (forgive the pun).  This mixer was a great option for me because of the price and because it doubles as a stand mixer and a hand mixer.  I have had it for about a month now and I really have to say, I am pleased.  For the most part, this mixer works great for us.  It really cuts down on the amount of work I have to do by hand.  The only downside is that it is a little small. Sometimes when I want to make double batch of cookie dough the beaters get stuck and the bowl is really not big enough to fit that much dough.  But like I said, for me, the price was right, it is easy to clean and does most of the work.  I would not recommend this product for hard-core bakers but would definitely recommend this for someone who is looking for a little help with the mixing and has a tight budget.

CDough Mixer Reviewsuisinart HSM70 Power Advantage Hand/Stand Mixer

This dough mixer is great because it’s like a two-in-one. It is a stand mixer that sits on your counter and does all the work but when you need it, you can detach it and use it as a hand mixer too. It looks great with its retro style and it’s compact enough to fit into anybody’s lifestyle and kitchen especially if it has a retro kitchen decorating. The only disadvantage might be that it mixes really well around the side of the bowl but it misses some in the middle. This requires using the hand mixer part and doing a little bit more work, but for the price it really is a great machine and gets the job done. It comes with a stainless steel bowl that is flat on the bottom and can hold quite a bit. It also comes with a set of beaters, a spatula, dough hooks and a bubble whisk. Cuisniart is a great brand that stands behind their products and this dough mixer has a 3 year warranty which gives me piece of mind. Overall, I would highly recommend this dough mixer to anyone as a great tool to help in the kitchen!
